ID for saved puffer needed

I saved this puffer for $10 from a lfs that had him in a 20gal tank and they called him a scrawled puffer he's around 7inches long but i can't find anything on that name can you help

An unique find. I believe it's a stars and stripes.

Does look to be a reticulated, and for $10, that is an incredible deal. They go for much, much more. A typical stars and stripes has the dark markings on the belly, which this puffer doesn't seem to have. Great looking fish. Bo
