Hello,
I recently started my own nano and have a diary going in the nano tank forum. Anyhow I have these "polyps" on a piece of my live rock and was wondering if anyone could id it for me. Thanks in advance!

Is that good, bad or indifferent? I tried a search, and read a few things, some saying that there could be toxins produced by the animal.

One of many common types of soft coral. Very low in demand of special care. The colors can be boring to the most incredible colors.

the first one is not Green Star Polyps. but some form of star polyps. pic 2 is a palythoa. similar to zoas, but are typically a bit larger.

Some Palys produce toxins if you irritate them, it's unlikely but always a good idea to wear gloves when handling.
