ID please. maggot looking things

My filter and sump are loaded with these things. They don't seem to move at all. They look like a maggot with bristles at one end. Good, Bad??

You took them out of the water so people are having a hard to identifying them. From your description the are Q-tip sponges. Google them to make sure. They are harmless filter feeders and will come and go with available nutrient.
