ID please Star fish

I turned off my returne pump and i was doing a little cleaning and i saw threw out the tank a bunch of little arms comming off the rock.
I was thinking man are they apstasias or what then i looked on the glass and saw one so i snaped some shots and want to know if any one knew if they were good or bad. i have at least 20 of them that i saw the groop of arms in the air.

Looks like a small brittle star to me. You have 20 of them and you didnt buy them?

Great find! Beneficial detrius eaters. I got a bunch on some live rock as well.

yea, they commonly come as hitchikers and can muliply like mad.
if you didn't have so many, i'm more inclined to think they are serpent stars, not brittle stars. the center area has me thinking.

no i got some rock from a guy that was shutting down his tank and he had a few in his.
the funny thing is i saw them squirting and they seamed to start to do it at once they lift their middles up and start to squirt.
i was just worried a little becuse of how fast they multiplyed from a few to about 20 give or take 5.
they are small serpent stars they are not like my brittle i have. thats my opinion.
