Is this brown diatom algae?

And what are the little white things on the glass. They are attached at one end and the other end flows in the cuttent. they are about 2mm or so long.

First pics are definatley diatoms...
Last one looks like they are hydroids...

Looked like pods to me at first too, but after reading how they are attached to the glass, I don't think so...
Can you get a closer pic of one?

Yeah its brown algae. The last pic could be pods or worms ( i forgot the name of them but they are in a very very tiny shell, not harmful at all)
