I forgot what the guys at the fish store told me this was. Anyone know what kind of flow it would need? It seems to like it where I have it in a medium-high current.
Yes good call, I have 3 kinds of capnella, but may be a laminalia....a hardeer to keep preditory coral....
Either way...lots of flow...capnellas will die with low flow....It looks like its in low flow in the pic, the braches get tighter in high flow....not direct, but high....

Thanks the picture I posted was the day I moved it into a new tank. It is in pretty high current and is loving it! It has grown so much in the past 3 weeks!
I don't have anything to trade since I'm still adding corals to my tank. Anything that i take out is going to end up in my boyfriends tank (bond22). Ay ways here is a current picture of that coral.
NICE! don't be afraid to add more powerheads....it will need them as it gets bigger....
I bet this is the leminalia!
If so try target feeding its poylps....
Nice to meet you!

Yes a capnella is a kenya tree coral......the laminelia is very similar but less photosynthetic and more preditory......Its either a really expanded capnella or a leminella.....Send more pics if youy like I need a close up of the poylps....the leminella has very spaced out but clear scelerites(long rice looking hard part of soft corals.... under the skin tissue.....Like in sinularia (finger corals) the scelerites are packed tightly together.....
Its definatly not a colt coral....colts are of the cladella family.....more jelly like with smooth fluffy (xenia like) poylps.....
I'm no pro though....just a reefer thats studyed as a hobby for a year....for the lack of knowledge a man could lose his whole tank!!
So I study study study!!
