this is attached to the base of a frogspwan I just got

Reminds me of an octopuss tenticle, I'm presuming it's some type of coral
Any ideas :thinking:

Hard to tell. Could they just be very retacted star or other kind of polyps. I have a small frag of star polyp at the bottom of my tank that looks exactly like that after a hermit walks on it.

That's my guess too. Retracted star polyps.

Yep star polyps, kill them. If you like. I find them a problem.
