Received this coral as a free-B was told it was a galaxia but it looks like a torch anyway to tell the difference, also any problem with a hammer coming in contact with a torch

It looks like Galaxea astreata to me. Give space between it and neighboring corals, very powerful sting. They can extend their stinging tenticles pretty far, usually during the night when lights are off. Good luck with it, I was going to purchase one last night, but decided not to.
As far as the Hammer, I would say no, but I'm not positive on this.

i would guess galaxia too. how is the ricordia collection going/ anxious to see full tnak shot.
