Found this as hitchhiker on rock. I think it may be hidden cup coral. But do these form colonies ? Because it seems like there is a baby right next to it.

Thanks. I think they are pretty cool creatures. Doesnt come out that often but they are cool when fully extended like this. aND also are they harmful to anything ?

+2 and no they are not harmful to anything except maybe a passing pod or 2... they are part of the dendro family and are nonphotosynthetic. Not sure how big it will get but you can spot feed it.

Thanks for all the responses yall. I'll keep yall posted and let ya know how big it gets. Because i'ma keep spot feeding it just whenever i feed my fish probably. Seems to eat everytime i feed it.

You really don't want to help it grow. Thise tenicles can sting other corals. Get out the joes juice

Dont think its an anemone. My guess is hidden cup coral. Look closely at his pic. There is a hard skeleton under there. Definitely not an anemone.

The tenticles are unlike a cup coral, still think its some sort of anneome. No expert though
Blazin, does it have a hard base?

I believe its tenticles look very much like that of a dendro or suncoral....I still think its a cup coral of some type.
