I think that this is a flowerpot coral or Goniapora sp.. I ordered some mushroom coral streaks and i received these greenstripe metalic shrooms that were on a rock with these. I know that they are not button polyps because when I got the rock I did not even notice them as they were flat in the skeleton or like any other lps coral. I dont know if i posted the pic right but here goes sorry its not the clearest pic.

Are you SURE it's got a skeleton?
Well it has a skeleton similar to my galaxy coral, you cannot see it in the picture but it is dead in some spots and like i say at night it closes up flat in the skeleton but in the day it gets large and long polyps. I have several types of zoas, button polyps and at night they close but do not shrink up and go flat with the rock. I thank yall for your input. Still not sure.

I think it is also. I think that is a cool hitch-hicker on a mushroom rock and it is pink. When i first got it I didnt even notice it and didnt for several days when i moved the rock I noticed them they were very small but then bloomed over night. its about 2 in open.

pick it up and gently shake it. If they retract into the rock then it is a goni/alveopra. if there are buds on the rock then they are zoanthids.

No buds on the rock just flat in the rock. Thanks for your input.
