I just got this mushroom rock on saturday and I was wondering what this coral is. It will be the one just above the vermitid (sp?) worm. The second pic you can see the polyps extended. The polyps are green, and the coral itself is that rust-brown color.

Thanks guys, I haven't found exactly what it is yet, but you have led me in good directions.

Ok, those pics look different than the ones I have found online! I would say that is definitely it! Especially the last pic.
So then, how do I care for the thing? Are these common corals? Like I said, I pretty much just randomly got it with a "mushroom" rock, and in the last couple days I have noticed that there is some other sort of sps looking thing that makes up one of the 'points' of the rock that has also extended its polyps.
Thanks a bunch

I thought so.

It's not extremely rare, but the encrusting type is certainly less common than some other variaties of Pavona. It's a moderately deepwater coral, so the lighting should reflect that. Strong flow and some occasional zooplankton will be appreciated.
