So my boyfriend got this from the local shop. I just wonder what it is though. When I search online it looks like some type of brain coral. Well the main thing I notice though is that the brain corals seem to run about 45.00 and he was given a deal at 85.00. I just wonder if the fish guy is on the up and up here.

Cynarina lacrymalis.
This is a pretty hardy coral if fed and not damaged, but you should really research and know exactly what you're getting and how to take care of it before you buy. Do you have the lights and tank conditions to support this coral?

I don't know it is my boyfriends tank. It has been in there about a month and seems fine. I just wondered what it was. He couldn't find another one either. Does that price seem right for that? It is about 4 inches or so across.
