yeah i'm gonna go with aiptasia. not sure why myself, but everyone says get rid of it.

Aiptasias will reproduce rapidly in tanks with no predators. They pack a powerful sting and will irritate just about any coral they get next to.

Would my clowns eventually host it if it became large enough?

I doubt it. And either way, if you let it get that big, you're going to have a million others in the tank.

it wont get big. you will just get them all over your tank! get a peppermint shrimp. it will eat them, plus they are good for the tank! or get joe's juice. or aptasia remover. it's a syrange that you spray medicine on the aptasia to kill it. or you can use a small ear wax syrange with boiling water and burn it to death!
eather way, kill it asap! it will reproduce like dandolions in your yard!
