I originally posted this in the Fish Discussion forum but have not gotten any respones...
I am not sure what this is? It came on a piece of rock that I got yesterday. I think that it is a little bubble tip but I am not sure. My concern is that my tank is not setup to support anaenomies (only a 20 watt bulb in a 46G tank).
If it is a bubble tip, how long can it survive in these conditions?
If it dies will it pollute my tank?
Currently there are 5 snails and no fish in the tank.
Finally, If the image does work please follow the link. If the link does not work please let me know.
Sorry for the long post!

I agree it looks like a bubble trying to come back. Frequintly sellers will take corals that are dieing or dead and throw them in the LR tank to salvage there loss as LR it also gets a source of nutrients out of their coral tank. So you probably got a coral they were killing for the price of LR if you can nurture it back to health. GL

Are you going to upgrade that ligting? How much LR do you have? LR also needs good lighting to grow coraline.

I was planning on upgrading the lighting, just not this quickly. I am going on vacation next and was going to do it when I got back. Can it survive for two weeks in the current conditions?
I currently have about 15lbs of LR.
