I feel dumb cuz i should know this already but with so many different types off zoo's its hard to tell sometimes. so can someone tell me what kind they are? thanks

yeah, green dragon eye..or realistically "green zoanthids". They grow awfully quickly and are a great starter-zoa.

Button polyps are a bit different. More of a brown/tan base, much larger, and they should have a long-tentacle skirt.

It's no problem. There are thousands upon thousands of different zoas out there and more every day since they have an ability to morph colors under different lighting/conditions. It's getting nearly impossible to give them all correct names :p

I would like to know what is on the minds of those who name them..stuff like purple gorilla nipples

One thing I've experienced is that a lot of times the purpose of naming them is to hype the new coral. Sometimes a owner may ask others to help name the coral, getting them all excited for the release of something new.
As far as the funny names....I don't know how about pink boobies chalice :)
