ID please

This started to grow from apiece of live rock that came out of someones tank. Any idea what it is? Kind of looks like some kind of sps to me. It does have a hard skeleton.

I dont know, but the polyps on that thing are awesome! Hopefully someone will help you out on this cause i would like to get my hands on some if i could.

Doesnt look like a daisy or star polyp to me. I think its probably an SPS.

It's for sure an SPS.
I remember seeing quite a few of those in other people's tanks. Acropora, maybe in the staghorn species?

They almost look like some type of faded sun polyps or Tubastraea/Dendrophyllia?

If it helps to ID they glow flourescent green when only the actinics are on.

I'd say Richard is probably right - acro....I never get anything cool growing out of my live rock

The only reason that I got something cool is because it came out of a very establish tank.
