It's hard to tell from the photo. Is it a softie or hard? Is there any way you can get a more detailed photo?

Its soft. Ill try to get a better pic tomorrow.

It looks to be some sort of a mushroom that has not got the proper lighting and has bleached

Thanks to the last pictures, you can see a mouth on it, so its not a sponge. Some kind of bleached coral. IMO either a softie or LPS.

could be a dying mushroom...it looks like it is shriveled
