this thing has been growing for about 2 weeks or so. i think its hair algae but i am not sure. can someone ID this bad boy for me and tell me how to get rid of it.

yep looks like hair algae. what are your nitrates and phosphates at? how old and what kind of lighting

looks like hair algea to me too...it can be hard to get rid of it sometimes but its not impossible...

if the lights are a year old its time to change them imo.
also I would strongly suggest getting a phos test.
do a water change, get some phosguard, keep feeding to a minimum. be more aggresive with skimming. if its just on the one rock take it out and scrub the algae off and rinse very well with ro water to get any algae spores off
