I'm not sure it is. I see it swimming around on it's own.

Really? Then try to google peanut worm, although it is very skinny which is why I thought starfish leg.

I don't think that's it either...it swims around like a sea snake, then goes into the substrate or a rock.

I would say a penut worm. I'v never seen them come out during the day though. If you watch it really close there should be something coming in and out the end of it. It will look like a minature feather duster if it is a penut worms. They are real beneficial for your tank.

I agree, neat looking. But it just does not quite look like any Peanuts I have in mine. The color banding is odd but again I think some types are banded ? . Also it just seems too skinny for a Peanut..... I too would at first thought a seastar leg??????????????? Let us know when someone know for sure.
