So i got into my stash of base rock today. Dug up some out of a low spot in the lawn of a former apartment building. LOL dont ask. Anyways, its been buried for about four years. No pesticides, herbicides etc.

The darker rock is the stuff i recently dug up.
I am thinking that a good powerwashing is in its future. Along with a myriatic acid bath? Suggestions? Its still good rock. Make from old brain corals, tabling acros and pipeorgans. :)
Im not going to use all of that rock in my 110g by any means. But i am going to pick and choose some that i need to aquascape with and maybe sell the rest.

A good power washing then vinegar water soak, then Ro soak. RO is great because it helps leach out any unwanted chemicals because there is nothinig in the water to begin with. I would do an RO soak then 100% water change once a week for a month.

Sounds good to me.
I think by powerwashing them really well and soaking them in a vinegar solution will be good. Myriatic acid wouldnt be bad either i guess. I know where i can get a gallon or two. :)
Guess when i get closer to setting up the tank ill load em' up on a trailer and take em' to the powerwash. Thanks man.
