i was thinking about putting a 5 gallon refuge on my 10 gal nano because i pretty much have the 10 done and am looking for something to spend money on
. I am debating how i want to get the water out of the tank and into the fuge, the fuge will be 2-3 feet below the show tank.
so far i thought about:
a small custom overflow, but soon realized the tank is on a solid shelf so it wouldnt work
a hole drilled in the side of the tank with a H.O.T power filter screen in the hole so i would get some surface skimming, but i dont have the tools so would probably have to take the tank to a glass shop and have them drill it which prob wouldnt be a problem as i have a few 10 gallon tanks laying around
drilling a hole in the bottom of my H.O.T power filter and running a peice of pvc through the bottom kind of like an overflow, but i still wouldnt have any surface skimmer
any ideas would be awsome, i know for sure i dont want to do a siphon feed because then if a power outage i have a large mess..
