I picked up a piece of live rock without seeing this little guy. The pictures are grainy but it is a brownish-purple stalk that opens into a mushroom-like top with a green center. They are in pairs and I have 2 pairs. Doesn't look like aptastia, but I don't know how to Identify it.

Wow, that's REALLY blurry but it doesn't look like an Anemone to me. I think you have some type of Zoanthid. I think it's a keeper but if you can get a clear picture we can tell for sure.

I know about the quality... my camera cord is lost andI had to use my tablet computer. I think it is a green button so I'll keep it.

It's definitely not Aiptasia. It appears to be a button polyp, but not sure of which kind. I have about eight brown ones that just appeared on a rock, and I kind of like them. They don't hurt anything, and I feed mine Marine Snow. They're getting close to an inch across now. It's always interesting to see what new thing will appear next in this hobby.

Pegasus brings up a good point. You could try to feed it. Something small and meaty like minced scallops or Shrimp. It cannot eat Marine Snow but any small meaty seafood bits could work.
