Identify Thing Growing on LR

My tank has been running for three days now...and this little guy just popped up today! I know it's alive because when I spun the piece of LR around so I could see it from the front...he sucked into a hole...and about 15 minutes later he reappeared...
It is small...dark red...and has tentacle like appendages...
It's in the middle of the black circle...
I apologize, it's the best picture I could get, just let me know if anyone thinks they can tell me what it is.
Thanks in advance...

Thanks again,
Debris

I had a colony on a rock in the front of my tank. I took the rock out and ran really hot water on them and into their caves and it killed them instantly.

And the rock was fine afterwards?? Sounds like I might be doing that tomorrow...

Yea just turn the faucet as hot as you can get it and only have it run on the polyp and down into their cave. It might kill your coraline algae though in that spot but it will grow back. I only ran the water for a few seconds then used some tweezers and got as much of their gunk out as I could. The rest just detaches and gets into the filter
