These yellow colored animals appeared on a zoa covered rock in the last three months. They are mutipling and the zoas are disappearing. I have had this zoa covered rock for over an year. They close like a zoa. Good or bad? I have found a few random ones elsewhere in tank. Is it a pest or just a rapid growing paly?

Def. Aiptasia.. No good news here... Being so close to the zoa's is going to make it hard to kill them without nuking the zoos aswell..

Someone identified these as proto palythoas ? IDK
I see most zoas as invasive they grow fast and cover quickly. I have three large LR that have almost completely been covered in less than a year. One by fire and ice, eagle eyes another and green with blue centers on another.

To me, the skirt does not look like that of a paly or zoa. I'm still looking for the other photo I have......

Found one! Now I know why it was hidden... it's not a very good pic. If it looks like this, these are not your friend but are a pest anemone.

Okay, there's another one... and I really can't find the pic. Are the "tentacles" like thick, small small, thick, small small? (No specific number of smalls because I forget the details).
I've had 4 computers in the last year and a half... it as led to me "misplacing" a lot of old folders. I know they are all in there.... all 500GBs of disorganized information :-
