alright thanks for all the help guys, ill hold out on the flame for both his and my sake :)
but these are the other fish i was thinking.. yellow tang (probably not ready for it), a sixline wrasse, a purple pseudochromis, firefish goby and a royal gramma..
how will these fair? ive heard the last 3 are pretty hardy beginner fish.. is this correct? and will they interact peacefully with my 2 clowns and inverts?
which of these are actively swimming in the open and which tend to hide a lot?
and can i keep any of them in groups?
a lot of questions sorry

My purple pseudo was one of the first fish I had in my tank and it did very well until it commited suicide last week. (It jumped out).

It was out in the open most of the time.It was fine with my inverts and other fish, although alot of people say their pseudos are mean. I have a sixline wrasse also, not sure about it being a beginner fish. My tank was up for about four months when I got it. It hides alot. You cannot keep more than one pseudo in your tank, not sure about the wrasse. I also have a royal gramma in another tank. I'm not sure if you can keep the pseudo and gramma together but I'm thinking you're not supposed to.I always thought grammas were hardy but I seem to remember a thread on here not to long ago that said grammas being hardy is a myth.
Hope that helps somewhat.

I like Royal Gramma's and I think the only time you have an issue with them is if they get stressed. They don't do well in a tank where another fish is tormenting them. My gramma lives with two gold stripe maroons and does great, however when I had my bi-color angel they did not like each other at all and it led to my gramma having an ICH and parasite problem. Once the angel was gone, he cleaned up in a week and has been putting on the pounds ever since.
Royal Grammas will also recognize you as the dinner bell pretty fast. They add alot of color to your tank, are cheap, and spend the day swimming mid-tank instead of hiding.

I love my purple firefish. They were a little shy at first but after a week they were constantly out and about. They are non aggressive and multiples can be kept together. They stay mid tank most of the time and I have never had a problem with jumping and I have no cover on my tank. But a lot of people say they are jumpers. Here are mine

The psuedo could get kinda mean, especially to new tankmates. Mine ate a peppermint shrimp out of the blue one day. The shrimp was almost as big as him, yet he had the whole thing in his mouth. I was quite angry.

Mine never did anything like that. I think I got lucky and that's why I'm afraid to buy another one.

Is that a sand sifting star in pic 5? If so, does it do a good job of keeping your sandbed clean?Your sand looks really nice, no matter what I get my sand never seems to look clean. :notsure:
