If you use copper for treatment in a tank; once your done with the treatment, can you ever use that tank for a reef setup if throughly wash it out. I mean really wash good.
Cuase i think someone told me in past that copper sticks to the walls of everything once used, therefore never able to use that tank again with corals or inverts in it.
Is this true???

I would think if your really washed it good and used all new equipment, it shuld be fine. When my 30 gl was a freswater tank, I used copper and now its a saltwater and my inverts are fine. This is just MO so you should wait for someone else. Just thought I would give mo.

Buy a copper removal liquid. I used Cop a-way by aquatronics. I used copper in my tank then I wanted inverts. I used this product and after waiting a week for the stuff to work and I put a couple cheap inverts in the tank and they lived. TJ

Trey probably knows something I don't, but when I used the product I didn't fill w/ freshwater, I even had fish in the tank and it worked just fine. TJ
