If you were looking for sand snails then those are the ones that you want. They are an excellent addition to the reef. However, they need to be properly acclimated--I did 75 over a 3-4 hour period and lost maybe 5. However, I have lost a few now and then from my darn hermits wanting their shell. :scared: I don't know why they go after them, they have plenty of empty shells that I bought for them. Go figure. I would say that the salinity/temp was probably the main factor. I am assumming that you have good water conditions. Try another batch.

I bought 250 of them off the auction site, they came in bags with just a damp paper towel in each bag. The acclimation procedure was to fill a bowl with water from the tank, drop them in the bowl and as they "come to" put them in the tank. I had all 250 survive and active within 1 hour. I have lost some recently to Blueleg Hermits, but other than that they are doing fine.
