Wow, how do the fish swim around in that tank? They must be bumping into each other! Why on earth would you have so many fish in such a small tank. Seems a little like cruelty to fishies to me.
Did I read that right? You did say a 30 gallon tank, didn't you?

You have way too many fish. You need to slow down or else your tank will become one big blinder.
Its not just that the fish live. Its weather or not the have healthy lives.

Some people would call keeping that many fish in such a small tank a disaster waiting to happen. And the other wuold call it cramped and cruel.

I am just wondering. But the reaso i had so many fish was:
1) my lfs said it would be ok.
2) i love fish! you just get carried away buying this and that and pretty soon you have 16(now after i took some out 7).
3) your lfs always knows how to talk you into buying everything!
Dont be too mad at him. im not. Maby it is the same way as me...i dont know.
PS, i didnt read any other post. soo exuse me if i am a little off topic.

that's pretty intense dude! but i guess i can't say much...i once had 2 diff. kinds of freshwater cichlids, 2 gouramis, and one goldfish (all over 3 inches long, easy) in a 10 gallon!(wasn't my fault, fish were inherited-saved from infamous flush swim). i wouldn't add anything else, maybe try to give a couple back to fish store for a bigger tank.. :D

Honestly, I'm starting to think you're a little kid just looking for attention--to see how many peoples feathers you can ruffle by posting stuff that you already know the answer to and you already know what everyone here will tell you. And most of us were already well aware of your overstocked 30 anyway. And YOU are well aware you're overstocked.
So do you actually have a point to make or a legitimate question? If so post that, otherwise quit bugging people with the same stuff everytime.
If your tank is doing that well--leave well enough alone and enjoy it--
Good Luck

I really don't mean to sound condescending, but, I sure am glad to know where you go..they have sadly misdirected you..Use your own knowledge and advice from this board and use some self discretion,if you so deem to.

I would do 1 of 2 things
1. get a much bigger tank if you still want to buy fish
2. give some of your fish to loving homes.
that tank is really too small to have that kinda load in it.

way to much fish in that tank. i know how hard it is though when you see fish you like. but some are gonna die because of the stocking level you have. get a bigger tank of return some of them before that happens

The BEST thing you can ALWAYS do is READ!!!!!!!!!!
And DONT....I repeat DONT by things on impulse..because they're cute...
I dont have that many fish in my tank and its a 55gallon
Honey, when in doubt...come to this board and ask...NEVER listen to your LFS because of course they will say its OK...ITS a SALE to them...
Would you like to be living in that tank?????
I sure wouldnt...

My adive to you would be to immedialty remove some of the fish. It is a matter of time before nitrates and nitrites spike, due to all the waste in your water being produced by the extreme quantity of fish. Also it is a cruelty issue, and you all most show some restraint when at your local fish store. Every time I walk in see something I want. But my restraint always comes into play because I realize that I have four fish in my 55 gallon. Good luck and listen to people who have your best interest in mind and that arent trying to sell you something!!!
