Not exactly sure what your asking..? But if your asking what a mantis shrimp is then it is a large shrimp that should be kept in a tank by itself, it is known for killing crustaceans and fish as well. Some full grown mantis shrimp can break there glass tanks.

Finding a just green mantis would be kind hard honestly. I would just call up a few LFSs and see which ones have some mantis shrimp, and go take a look at em. I dont know if they ship well either.

Some people learn slower than others. I don't mean learn about the things they're trying to keep as pets. I mean learning to research beforehand.

Before you get a Mantis, please do your research so you know what you are getting yourself into. Mantis is not something you dive into with now knowledge. I know it sounds like a fun creature and all, but if you don't like it after a week or two, you will have a hard time finding anybody to take it off your hands... if you still have your fingers intact (lol).
Mantis needs a species only tank to start with.

Years ago I could understand a little more..... there was no forums... there was no internet.... all we had was outdated books. Now with the internet around like it is, there is no excuse for buying something without researching it first. It's funny how somethings never change.
Many different mantis' can be green. Color barely enters into the ID equation.

Chill out! I think they were asking for an ID on the species...sheesh- have another cup of coffee and ditch the attitude.
That said- check out the mantis section on reefcentral- there's a link in there to a mantis site that has lots of info.....but green is a common color for mantises, so there's a lot of possibilities as to which exact species it is. I have 2 unidentified mantises in my 75 FOWLR that I collected here in S. FL. They're fascinating, industrious critters.

They said they getting the mantis..... never said anything about trying to ID it before buying. If the guy would have shipped you know it would have been in the tank by now.
