Pull off as much hair alge with your fingers and whats left remove the rock from the tank and stick it in a bucket of saltwater and srub scub scrub with a hard bristle toothbruth.. worked for many of us

Yep he is right! Those zoas are too cool to be covered in hair algae!!!

hey nano newbie what kinda lighting do u have?

sailfin tang, not recommended for a 30gallon nano, may b stressed alot and die but i have super friendly tank mates and keep water changes high 20% change every week.

well first of all welcome!
you will learn lots from us and we will learn from you! im glad you decided to join us! the tank looks amazing! like nano said scrub it off little while you do water changes. i will also recommend not feeding the tank for a couple days but since you have a sailfin in there idk.
what you can do is buy some nass snails, turbos snails as well. those work like a charm! you wont regret it! just be sure not to add another fish since you have the max already! love the tank! and hope the algae goes away! but i have some questions for you!
1. What lights you have?
2. whats in your chambers? rear compartments?
3. what do you feed your corals?
4. what corals you got?
thanks for your time!

i will be glad to. fcatch will get on but since he with his wife now that she gonna have a baby and hes doing his room idk if he will be on for a couple of these days. but i will be glad to!

and great! one thing though is i would remove the LR Rubble from the back since they collect detritus and we dont want that. just add chaeto with a submersible light and you will be great!

that green lil grass he had in that cup what is that? he said he had a 5watt light... this is what i was planning to do but a small 6in 10watt light and put it on my back chamber is where my LV is and have that running on the same timer as my fishtanklights and have a small fuge in the back to remove nitrates

well thats chaeto in the cup. just get a cup, cut some holes in them, place the chaeto in it, put the light on and it will remove the trates! it works perfect!
