they definitely can't fit in a 75 gallon....temporarily though they can. they grow to be 18 inches long and need at least a 180 gallon tank.

my only fear is that if i get a 180 gallon i would want more then one fish in their but if the longhorn dies it takes everything else with it

It depends what kind of cow and what you are willing to pay, but yes longhorn will grow up to and sometimes past 18". 180 gallons should be the BARE minimum tank size if you want to keep him forever. (my buddy is setting up a 300g right now for his and some other fish)

well warn your buddy that their poison is more dangerous than lions venom and sea cucumber toxic combined so if that cowfish is unhappy everything is

O he is well aware.

His first time he set up the 75 with a longhorn, it wiped out the entire tank when he left on vacation for a week and his buddy "took care" his tank. It really wasn't his dormate's fault. The fish died because of a sudden nitrate spike.(didn't keep the cc clean)
