It amazes me that enough people still fall for these things that makes it worth the time for the scammers to send them..

YUP...these people got my mother in law twice

We finally had to change all her phone #'s and bank accounts where we can watch and monitor them.....SO SAD that they pick on the elderly....and naive people in general I guess

I hate the ones get from places like Chase and Paypal asking me to click on the link and update my account details. I have clicked before to see where it would send me and the site looks so legit but you can look in the address and see that it isn't a legit site. I have spoken to Paypal and Chase and they have told me that they would not send those sort of links out. I can see though how so many people especially the elderly or those that are naive to the internet evil doings would get tricked by this sort of fraud.

if you aren't going to take advantage of that great opportunity, can I do it???
These people should be prosecuted to the fullest extent possible, regardless of the law...they are bilking people out of their money, they should have their money taken away...if they have none, string them up and take video of it and put it on EVERY news network so that those that are thinking of this type of garbage see what happens when you get caught! Our justice system is so full of injustices it makes me sick! We need to bring back "an eye for an eye" in order to get crime and dishonesty under control in our country!

Have you ever seen the investigative episode where they tried to track down some of these con artists? It was very difficult because a lot of the these operations are setup in countries that either don't have laws governing this sort of activity or they just don't care. I might be wrong but I think Nigeria is one such country where a lot of this crap is coming from.

lol, I had a friend who fell for something like this, It was hilarious. And nearly impossible to keep a straight face while she was telling me the story. Or to keep the blonde jokes from sneaking out...
