i want to buy a shrimp for my tank. im thinking either a cleaner shrimp or a coral banded shrimp. but im leaning towards a coral banded shrimp because it is much more readily available were im from. my questions are, i have a sixline wrasse, a pair of clowns and a coral beauty in my tank. i also have some corals includig a torch coral, and a leather, and some mushrooms as well as a bta, plus hermit crabs and snails, so will a coral banded shrimp be ok in my tank?, this site says they are reef safe but i have a feeling they are not.
also will the shrimp be safe in my tank with my sixline, have heard they can get abit nasty with inverts?
thankyou

As far as reef safe... mine has been completely reef safe. I purchased him from swf and I've never had a problem with him. My experience with them is they are fine unless provoked. Now, he can hang if something wants to pester him. Can't answer about the sixline though.

my sixline doesn't bother my skunk cleaner shrimp. The Coral Banded can become quite territorial. It should take care of any bristle worms if you have any. Have had Coral banded shrimp before in reef and no problems. Like the other poster said they can fend for themselves. Sorry, I only have one pic of my BTA in the display, it is too big to post here. And now with it being in the fuge, don't think I can get a good pic. I'll try to get some pics of it. If you plan on more than one Coral banded, I would get a mated pair, otherwise they will fight till one wins.
