In a pair or by itself?

I was thinking about adding a Hippo Tang to my tank in the next few weeks and I don't know whether or not to by a pair or a single one. I usually see them at schools in the lfs but I don't know what that entails in a tank. I also know that adding more than one runs pretty expensive. So has anyone had experience with keeping these fish in pairs or otherwise? Thanx in advance!

if you buy any they will become too large for your tank, They need at least a 90gal tank. Some people buy them small and find new homes for the hippos when they too big.

They will eventually move into a much larger tank but thanx for the advice.

What size tank are you gonna get? if it is mor than 75 gals then you could get two.

Be careful - Agenerally well-mannered fish. Tolerant of other tangs, but can occasionally be jealous of other hepatus tangs
