In need of Advice!!

I just got a tank from a friend of mine who is moving away and needed someone to take his fish and tank. I have the tank and it has a fimbriated moray eel, red volitan lion fish, Humu Humu (Picasso) triggerfish, lunare wrass, and two crabs (not sure of the name but they put the sand on their backs to blend in). The tank has a protein skimmer, filter, and heater as well as two medium size live rocks in the bottom. My question is would feather dusters or any anemone's survive in the bottom. I want to make the bottom more appealing. So anything that you can think of for the bottom to make it more appealing, I prefer living things, would be awesome. Thanks!

so you moved the tank from his house to your house. You could see a mini cycle just so you know. We need to get the size, lights, watts, filtration to get a good idea, but the humma will prevent just about anything from living to long in the tank, I mean coral and invert wise.

Yes the tank is here, it is up and running. We kept 90% of the water he had as to not upset the fish and crabs, had to get rid of a little to prevent a mess during the ride home. The tank would have to be about 25g, has a millenium 2000 filter, looks like a generic in-tank skimmer. Also looks to be just a generic low heat aquarium light (15W). I know the tank is smaller and I may need to buy somethings but it is a starter and honestly hard to pass up since he was giving it away at the same time I had began researching for my own tank (wanted reef at the time). Honestly I just dont want to make any of the "typical" beginner mistakes. I dont want to add too many fish or things that are not compatible. I was thinking of possibly adding a puffer (dogface or porcupine), possibly an urchin, I still do want a couple dusters and maybe a couple Xenia. I have seen posts that all of these have survived with semi-aggressive tanks but like most of you know who knows how long that will last. Also I dont want to over-crowd a possibly already overcrowded tank. Any tips are much appreciated, even if its bad news, better than killing something because of ignorance! Thanks!

If the tank is 25g, it is already over crowded, your best bet would be to take the eel, volitan, trigger and wrasse to your LFS for credit. Post the Length x Width x Height of your tank, start over with a new fish list that will suit your tank, especially if you would like a reef tank.
The Lion grows fast and needs a large tank, a Volitan can reach max size in around 18 months, max size being 12-15 inches, the trigger and lion do not mix well together, triggers are fast swimmers and require space to establish territories, the eel gets to large along with the wrasse. Puffers get to large for a 25g and they eat urchins.

I have a Lion and Humu Humu in a tank together. Along with a Niger Trigger and a Panther Grouper. All my fish get along wonderfully. The Triggers stay together until bed time then they go different directions. I agree with V-Lioness that your tank is over crowded. If it don't look like it now, it will very soon. My Lion grew about 8 inches in 8 months. He grew very fast.
