Injured Brain Coral?

tang thang

New Member
I have recently added an open brain coral and a flame angel to my 72 gallon tank. The flame angel is one of my favorite fish and the brain-one of my favorite corals. I hoped it wouldn't happen but the flame angel has been nipping at the brain. There are some lesions where you can see the skeleton, quite a few of them. What do I need to do to allow the brain to recuperate and avoid infection. Can I do something to deter my flame angel from nipping at it? Anyone had any experiences with these two? I realize I probably will have to exile one of the two from the tank, which one would you remove? What other types of corals are at risk?
Thanks.

Your always taking a risk when keeping corals and pygmy angels together. The only thing you can do is isolate the two of them, if you have another tank, or take one back to the store.
