Installation of air, water, ice RO/DI

Okay, I bought an air, water, ice RO/DI unit for my 55g tank because I don't have a car so I don't have any other way to get good water for my tank. Up until now I've been using tap water. So after convincing my dad to get me the RO/DI unit for christmas, I figure out today, when I opened the package that I have to drill a hole in the drain pipe under the sink. Is there any way to get around the drilling?
I know this may seem like a ridiculous question, but I live in an appartment, and don't think it would be appropriate to drill a hole in equipment that I don't officially own, plus, I don't have anything to dril w/.

they sell an adapter that hooks up to your hose and screws on a facet like you washer or your bathroom sink

they make a couple kinds of adapters - one that you can hook up to your washing machine waterline feed and one that you can hook onto a faucet
so if you dont have a washing machine in your place, you're not totally out of luck

For your source water, they also have an adapter that screws onto a standard kitchen sink faucet, but it won't work on a non-standard one such as a sprayer type faucet head. That way you could do a temporary set up and brew water on an as-needed basis, simply running the waste-water tube into the sink drain.
Best place would be in the laundry area if your apartment is so equiped as there's also a drain. Then a typical Y-fitting for a garden hose would work for your source water, splitting the feed for the washing machine. You'd need to get A-W-I's fitting to downsize from the garden hose size to the 1/4" tubing, or you could cobble one together like I did with parts from Lowes Homestore. I couldn't tell you exactly what parts to get (Took stuff from two or three little baggies), but I brought along a short piece of the tubing and one of the employees selected the stuff I needed, cost probably less than $10.
BTW, the local Lowes has the exact same little slip-joint fittings (John Guest style?) that come in the A-W-I kit (Except for the garden hose-to-1/4" tube fitting . . . of course!).

thanks guys! I'll look into the faucet adapter. I have about the smallest appartment ever, no room for a washer/dryer...oddly enough it does fit my 55 g tank though!
