instant cycle with precultured wheels or balls?

Anyone use biowheels or bioballs from an established tank to start a new tank and skip the whole cycle process??

not going to work IMO. maybe with cured LR and LS but you will not have the media to make it work.

Using stuff from an established tank, whether it be media or substrata--will always help. Do not expect an "instant" cycle though. You will still have to go through the motions and tests and waiting, just maybe not quite as long.

I agree, you can use many things to make the cycle goes faster. Not instant. You still have to be patient. I used BIOZYME, lr and ls, I still waited for awhile for my tank to go through the intial spikes.
One important thing, never ever add chemicals to your tank, when it is cycling. Chemicals to eliminate ammonia and nitrite. That will bring you back to where you started. So, don't do it .
