Intelligent hunting behavior from a lion

I plopped a couple grass shrimp in with my lion this afternoon because I was feeling lazy and didnt want to thaw anything out at the time and I noticed an interesting behavior. One shrimp caught sight of the lion at the same time it did of him and backed into a corner facing its nose spike out. It and the lion had a Mexican stand off for about 10 minutes. The lion was unwilling to face the shrimps spike so it just hovered there at a 45 degree angle and waited. Finally the shrimp got bored or careless and started moving to the side and the second the spike was off target, WHACK! Lion got him. Very intelligent critters I think. Just thought I would share.

Lions are well-known for their personality and hunting abilities. If I get that 200G I've been thinking about, a lion is the first thing on my list. They're so cool. :D

Yeah, they co-operate with each other. If you have the space it's best to get two of them for this reason. That would be so cool.:D
