interested in hermit crabs

what kind of hermits are reef safe? currently i have about 7-10lbs of LR. they are in the process of developing and growing whatever they came with. i want to add several hermits to the 7 gallon tank i have. how many can i add and what are the best for this small tank>?

Scarlet hermits are great for reef tanks. Blue-Legs are decent but they can kill snails. In a 7 gallon tank...would not go much over 2-3 tops....just my opinion tho.

They say a pair per 10 gallons of water for Scarlets. HTH

I would go with 2 scarlets and about 5 empty shells!

yeah i agree scarlets or blue legs. the red legs are really pretty too. i really don't care much for hermits. they're pests. they love to mess with my corals so that they don't want to come out. i took all of them out of my tank tonight because i bought two orange moon snails and i know the hermits would have eaten them.
