I find it hard to believe that the abortion rate is almost as high as the number of deaths, though.

What else amazes me is that there were more suicides than injuries from violence and war combined. What does that say about our society?

You'd be suprised how many elderly people die from falls a year. According to one source, 15000 Americans die from falls alone. That's much more than we lose from war.
I would agree that some of their sources may not be the most accurate.

Of course, especially in less developed countries. It's pretty rare in the US.
