i thought this was just a waste type of deal but its starting to grow so next question is what is it....

Neomeris Annulata...Macroalgae. It grows very slow, and needs a slow current and lots of calcium in the water to survive.

Flower is correct...it's Neomeris AKA caterpillar weed. It's pretty cool stuff but typically doesn't grow well in nutrient deficient reef tanks, altho if it has sufficient lighting and food, it will grow into small stands, which look pretty nice.

I have seen tanks where it has grown to weed proportions. Hard to get rid of in that case.

huh ill have to research it some my cal. is always a little high well 475/500 that is...i thought i was a piece off a coral that i got for free to try and save but didnt happen...but that was a month ago and its growing so i was like well hell this thing is something else....spanko are you talking to me or saxman??? my name is greg so might just be a couincidence (mp)
