Internal overflow finished to my 20h project.

Well as mentioned for anyone who has read my past post I was wanting the clean look of an internal overflow even though I sacrifice space I can live with it and avoid having a overflow box in the tank. The bottom is drilled 1 3/4 " to fit the 1" bulkhead. Drilling was clean and tank is structurally sound. So far I am about 80% done will be hopefully up and running about 2 weeks to get cycling. Enjoy and share your opinion please.

Looks good. I had a similar idea for my next tank. I plan on using a circular PVC tube cut into a quarter circle and then just sticking it in the corner, cut teeth in the top for the overflow function, and then cut a hole somewhere in the middle of the wall of the quarter tube to stick a powerhead jet out of. This way I do not need to drill the tank, but still get the benefits of a concealed compartment and overflow. I could even put one in each of the back corners.

Thats also a great idea but the power head of course would need to be submerged correct? If so I am looking to cut down on heat the most I can considering I am not going to start off with any fish I like the gravity consumption over using more electricity for my purpose simply because this tank is going to consume a good amount of energy.
between the aqualight pro, coralife ss , mag 3 plus 2 other tanks going my electric bill is slightly rising a tad bit high ....If you have a diagram of your design to see in better detail please share...

I would duplicate the overflow to have one in both corners if the tank was a 20 Long or a 29 gal. For a 40 breeder or 55 gal. I would do something similar to what you did and wall off about four inches on each side and stick two Maxijet 900's in on each side for a total of four Maxijet 900's and 920 total GPH.

*LOL*
I totally would, but the wife would probably have a cow!

Seriously though, we are really unsure how long we are going to be where we are currently living and I would hate to move a tank any larger than my 24 gal. nano and the 12 gal. nano I setup for my wife in her office. Who knows, if things look more permanent I may upgrade while we are still here, but I doubt it!
