Introducing MH...?

I understand the need to "acclimate" inverts to a lighting change...ie. same tank, new lights...
But what should I do, or look for, as I move the contents of my 20 Nano with 130 watt PC ( 6 watt per gal...I know. doesn't mean anything) 16" deep...To their new home, a 54 corner with 250 DE HQI MH and 130 watt PC actinic...22" deep...
Thats only 7 watts per gal with everything on, or 4.6 if I run just the MH... (again just for comparison).
On my 20 I ran 10 hr actinic and 8 hr with additional 10k...
On the 54 should I start with/run the same 10 hr actinic and 8 hr MH...??
Or should I still acclimate to the MH ? 10 hr actinic and 4 hr MH, working my way up...or 8 hr MH and a series of "shade/screens" to full light...?
At this point it's still the same softies and LPS...the tank is "deeper" and I really haven't added much additional watts for the "volume/size" of the new tank.
I don't want to "Starve" anyone for light...on the other hand I don't want to "Burn" anybody either...

do 2 hours on the first day.
Then evry other day boost it up to 30 minutes more.
By doing that you are pacing it so it will not be intense
at once.

That's cool... I'll probably go with the 4 hrs to start..but I had heard the "short runs" were hard on the bulb...?

I just upgraded to 250DE's and I set them with my normal 10hr cycle, but placed 4 layers of fiberglass screen over my tank. Every third day i removed one layer. Worked great
