i have a 12 gallon aquapod that has a 2 1/2 inch ocellaris clownfish. i assume that she is a female because she has been in the tank for almost 2 years now. my lfs has some baby ocellaris that are about a half inch in length. i want to eventually get one to try to pair with my existing female. how would i go about introducing a new clownfish to ensure its safety?

ehhh theres now right or wrong way to introducing clowns from diff tanks...
your 2 yr old clown already dominates the tank and will claim it when you throw the other in. they will battle it out for a while before things will settle. do it with lights off .. maybe tht will ease stress.

I was gonna ask the same thing. My boy died tragically and I want to get her another clown. My friend said just make sure you get a real small clown that will be a male

thats kinda what i figured. i was gonna just throw a baby clown in and supervise. im a little nervous tho cause that baby clowns at my lfs will literally be 1/4 the size of my female clown....is it possible that she would eat him? haha
