Introducing new species

Hello all.....Im always looking for new ideas. just wondering how everybody introduces new fish/inverts/corals to their tanks. I ordered a couple of clams and corals and im expecting shipment tomorrow. This will be the first time introducing a coral to the tank. Normally with fish I (depending on the size) i get a 5gal container and drip water from my tank into the container until all the water params. match. What do you do, and what is the best way to introduce clams and corals.
Thanks,

Well first off i quaranteen all fish for three weeks before i ntroduce them. I turn off the tank lights and let he bag sit on the water for 15 minutes. then i open it up and add 1/2 cup of the tank water.I reapet that until the bag is full and dump half the water from the bag to a seperate container. I repeat adding the water. then i net the fish but if it is a coal or sponge i take it out under water. My way makes it so ther is very little if any difference in water conditions.

For corals I just do it like for fish. Some people say they just throw them in. But I like to do it slow.
