Invertibrate Dips??

Is it advisable to use any freshwater dips for crabs or snails? I'm planning on adding a cleaning crew of mostly hermit crabs and snails and was wondering if this was advisable or safe with invertibrates. I've been using dips with Methylene Blue with my fish additions as suggested in the book Conscientious Marine Aquarist and have been very pleased with the results.

NO NO NO NO NO NO...They will die almost instantly...
Inverts do not usually carry parasites...as they have hard shells..
Inverts will die in salinity less that 1.020...so FW = Death.
All you can do if you want is put them in a QT Tank for a month...this would ensure there are no Dormant ICH laying on them.

I will have to agree with the previous post. IF I remember right when I used Methylene Blue, it killed my hermit crab....
