Inverts Starving?

I just replaced my cc with ls today. I do have live rock in my tank but it's only been in there for 2 days. I am worried that my 3 mexican turbo snails and my 6 hermit crabs will starve because there is really no algae to speak of for them to feed on. Will they be ok or is there a way I should feed them. Thanks.

Has your system completed its cycle? If so then they'll probably be fine...maybe feed some algae based food to suppliment what they can find from the LR.

It actually hasn't cycled yet. I did have a pretty good amount of algae when I had crushed coral but now that I switched there isn't much algae to speak of. Any recommendations on algae based foods?

My crabs and shrimp like Hikari Tropical Sinking Wafers. It says on the package for catfish, loaches and bottom feeders. My saltwater bottom feeders fight over these. Lesley

Mexican turbos need filamentous algae. Try getting some algae sheets from a lfs and placing it in your tank out of reach of your hermits. As far as feeding the hermits they'll eat your snail waste and gather up scrapings from the live rock. If you want to drop a little food in there for them to find be careful not to put to much.
