inverts

i have read about there being only 1inch of fish per 5 gallons of tank. my question is, do inverts effect this at all as far as number of gallons per inch of fish?

as far as i know inverts pose such a small strain on the system compared to fish they really dont make that much of a differance but if im wrong someone tell me

• rock beauity,pygmy chrub,hynicus,blue damsel,3 stripe damsel,domino damsel,yellow seahorse,horseshoe crab,emerald crab,spider crab,10 blue leggs hermit,2 scarlet hermits,haloween hermit,1 green brittle,2red brittle,2 serpant,and a chocolatechip,a hich hiker crab?(came with live rock and is red)

right, in fact they pose such a small difference that we really don't consider them as even a small part of the load
