Iodine Dip

Can you iodine dip a clam??? Our is acting wierd and my husband thinks that a dip would do take care of it, but we weren't for sure. We have dipped many of our other corals and stuff, but we were not for sure on this one. Please Help!

when u say its acting weird, what do u mean? the only thing u can dip a clam in is fresh water with the same temp for 30 sec. i did that when my clams has some sort of bacterial infection.
